Using & Finishing a Perfume Sample // Byredo La Tulipe

Hello hello,
In the midst of revision and unproductive study sessions, I've become awfully addicted to a little 1ml spray vial bestowed upon me by chance at Mecca Maxima after a hefty purchase, and my life is officially in shambles. One of the many things I cannot do, for the life of me, is to describe scents and fragrances, and be sophisticated at the same time. Or any time, for that matter really. So I'll hit you up with some good ol' adjectives we may more commonly use to describe a trashy novel a friend recommended, when we must really appear to have read, and liked too. Yes I have, stayed up til 3 a.m. last night reading it, would you believe? Phenomenal, really. No, but in all seriousness, this is got to be the most gorgeous fragrance.

As someone who's never spent more than $100 (in total, like, in her bleak seventeen years of existence) on glorious liquids that make you perspire specks of gold, rainbows, and occasionally, red velvet cupcakes, I was astonished with my newfound addiction: La Tulipe. Sad, I know. Read on as the romantic tragedy unfolds.

It's a scent that reminds me of tulips, my grandma, rainy nights in bed and designer socks (the only designer thing I can afford). I had come home from a pick-me-up shopping spree and brunch date with a girlfriend, a cold half-empty cup of caramel macchiato in hand, quietly musing over the ingenious passages I'd read a night ago on how to Cultivate My Allure from How to Be a Parisian Wherever You Are and daydreaming about Caroline de Maigret, wondering what her signature scent would be, when I absent-mindedly spritzed the sample of La Tulipe onto my wrists. It was not supposed to hold me in a trance like that, I thought. How to Be a Parisian told me to find a signature scent, and wear it for the next thirty years or something. Only last night I'd scoffed at it - the same scent? Thirty years? Jesus.

KLensPop Review: GBT Gray Contacts

I've been in contacts rehab for quite some time now, mainly because of all the irritation and discomfort, but I have been very satisfied with a pair of lenses from KLensPop, which is a beloved company that sells affordable but quality contact lenses from both Korea and Japan. Shop now here.

As you all should know by now, I had a major obsession with contact lenses mid-2015, and since my collaboration with KLensPop was feeding directly to my addiction to lenses, it was a perfect harmony of work/life balance! I was sent these lenses quite some time ago, but only got around to writing an in-depth review today to share with you all.
